Air Duct Cleaning in San Diego, CA
Call (619) 330-9164How the job runs in a San Diego house
We walk the house first and count registers. One gets pulled so we can look inside with a light. Supplies and returns get sealed off. A negative-air machine connects at the air handler or main trunk. Then whips and brushes agitate each branch while the vacuum holds suction. The blower wheel and return drop get cleaned by hand. Access panels are resealed before we leave.
San Diego spans nearly every housing era in the county, so no two jobs look alike. Craftsman bungalows and Spanish Revival homes from the 1910s–1930s in North Park, Golden Hill, Kensington and South Park carry retrofit ducting through tight crawlspaces and attics. Access is the whole battle there. Mid-century ranch tracts in Clairemont, Serra Mesa and Allied Gardens often still run original sheet metal trunk-and-branch.
Then there are 1970s–80s condos and apartments, and the 1990s–2010s attic flex-duct tracts in Carmel Valley, Scripps Ranch, Mira Mesa and Rancho Peñasquitos. Flex is fragile. Torn inner liner means replacement, not cleaning, and we will tell you that.
Climate shifts within a few miles. Coastal neighborhoods run cool and humid with little AC. Inland valleys run hot with long cooling seasons. Canyon dust, freeway soot along I-5, I-8 and I-805, spring pollen and wildfire smoke all load the return side first.

Call (619) 330-9164What Happens After You Call Us
Call and tell us how many supply vents you have and where the air handler sits, attic or closet. We give you a two-hour arrival window and text when we're on the way.
We walk the system first, open a return, show you what's in there, then quote a firm price. Vent count and duct condition drive the number, and the estimate is free.
We clean every run, seal what we opened, vacuum the floors under each register, and test airflow with you watching. You pay the quoted price, nothing added.
Frequently Asked Questions
My house is a 1920s bungalow in North Park and the ducting was added later. Can it even be cleaned?
Usually yes, but the approach is different from a newer home. Retrofit systems in Craftsman and Spanish Revival houses around North Park, Golden Hill, Kensington and South Park were threaded into crawlspaces and low attics that were never designed for them, so runs are short, oddly routed, and sometimes a mix of materials added over decades. We spend more time finding access and less time pulling hose than we would in a tract home. Occasionally we find sections that are too damaged or too compressed to clean safely, and we'll tell you that rather than run a brush through them.
How soon can someone come out?
For most of the city we're scheduling within a few days. Timing depends more on where you are than on the calendar. A job in Clairemont or Allied Gardens and a job in Rancho Peñasquitos are not back-to-back stops, so we group work geographically. If you're flexible on the day, you'll get in sooner. Spring, when pollen loads up the return side, and the stretches after wildfire smoke are the two periods when the book fills fastest.
